Kamran has a wide-ranging practice in private, criminal and public law and has practiced both domestically and in foreign jurisdictions, including New York. His particular interest is in disputes with an international dimension and in matters that involve human rights and civil liberties. His recent cases include advising the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and the Appeals Chamber of the UN backed Special Court for Sierra Leone which is currently trying the former president of Liberia Charles Taylor. He has acquired significant commercial and civil experience, the recent highlights of which include advising Barclays Bank PLC in relation to a dispute with a national newspaper and Hewlett-Packard in relation a regulatory matter in India. Kamran has also spent 10 months in the dispute resolution department of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, working on a range of high profile matters, advising commercial clients and investment banks.
