Jane practises in Employment and Discrimination law. She has a particular interest in Whistleblowing claims. She has recently acted for an individual against an investment bank concerning allegations of market abuse. She is also interested in the newer discrimination strands and the extension of the older strands to new areas. For example, she has appeared in EAT proceedings, acting for a gay man in relation to "outing" allegations using a creative argument about dignity and autonomy to develop the law regarding the sexual orientation regulations. She has also appeared before the EAT, acting for a woman undergoing IVF, using developments in European law to develop the law regarding sex discrimination.
