Hannah Rought-Brooks

Hannah Rought-Brooks specialises in the law relating to children, family law and human rights law. As a child lawyer she represents all parties in public law proceedings including care, supervision, secure accommodation, special guardianship and adoption. A large proportion of her work is in the High Court.
Hannah has extensive experience in other areas of public law concerning looked after children, homelessness and human rights and has recently written on the subject of looked after children and the role of the Independent Reviewing Officer for Roof magazine. She is committed to bringing a human rights approach to her work and has completed an LLM in Human Rights Law with a focus on the international rights of the child.
She also experienced in international human rights law and is part of the Tooks International Law team. She has worked on human rights projects in Nepal and in Turkey. Hannah is currently working in Israel and the West Bank on women's rights projects.
