Giles Newell

Giles has a busy and varied Crown Court practice, appearing in trials involving a wide range of serious offences. He was recently instructed as junior counsel in R v Massie, a large-scale conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, at Ipswich Crown Court. Giles regularly advises upon appeals against conviction and sentence, securing a series of excellent results at the Court of Appeal over the past two years. His broad criminal practice encompasses courts martial work in the UK and abroad.
