Giles has a busy and varied Crown Court practice. Recent trials include possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, burglary, ABH, sexual assault and robbery. Giles is currently instructed as junior counsel in a multi-million pound credit card fraud trial. Giles recently appeared before the Court of Appeal, where he successfully persuaded their Lordships to quash an extended sentence passed under the CJA 2003 in a case of ABH.
