Peter Herbert to Represent Augustin Ngirabatware in the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda

 

Augustin Ngirabatware, who is charged with genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, was arrested in Germany and extradited to stand trial before the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda ("ICTR") in Arusha, Tanzania.

Ngirabatware was previously the Planning Minister in the government of Juvénal Habyarimana, and was a member of the Gisenyi provincial committee for the MRND party. The case is number ICTR-99-54-T. 

Peter Herbert is acting as defence counsel for Ngirabatware.
