Sarah Bourke acted for Kerry Sparrow who was an interested party in the inquest concerning the death of Judge Andrew Chubb.

At an inquest in 2001, the Coroner found that the judge had died accidentally. In 2003, the Police Complaints Authority found that the original investigation into his death was "far from thorough". New scientific evidence cast serious doubt on the finding of accidental death and a new inquest was ordered. At the new inquest, Sherriff Payne issued a narrative verdict which recorded the cause of Judge Chubb's death as "unascertained".

Following the verdict, Ms Sparrow said "Andrew passionately believed in justice. I know that he would feel that I have got justice for him today".
