Protecting tenants' rights and representing the homeless

Members of Tooks Chambers undertake all aspects of Housing Law and related Public Law matters.

These include:

Harassment and Anti-social behaviour
Disrepair
Housing Benefit - including advice in cases where fraud prosecutions are pending
Community Care related housing matters
Representing Gypsies and Travellers in possession actions

Injunction actions and emergency proceedings
Unlawful discrimination
Nuisance

In addition, members of the Housing team have experience of working with vulnerable groups that have particular problems accessing and maintaining accommodation, such as: ex-prisoners; young people; clients with physical disabilities and mental health problems; foreign nationals; Gypsies and Travellers.

All members regularly appear in the Appellate Courts, High Court, County Court and other courts and tribunals.
