Mini-Pupillage

Tooks Chambers has an active-mini pupillage programme and we encourage applications from as wide a background as possible.

Mini-pupillages are a week spent with Chambers for those interested in becoming a barrister. During that week you will be able to go to court with barristers and meet clients and solicitors.  You will be able to talk about the cases that you see and about a career at the bar. You should also be able to talk to other people who work in chambers, like the clerks.

We try to ensure that mini-pupils see a variety of work that they are interested in by going to  court with both senior and junior barristers. However, because it can be difficult to predict what cases will be heard in any particular week, or even in a particular day, we cannot predict what work you may see.

More experienced mini-pupils may be asked to help with preparing a case, for example by carrying out legal research or preparing a written document. Mini-pupillages are not assessed as they are intended to give you the chance to find out more about becoming a barrister.

We offer 2 mini-pupillages a week. Mini-pupillages are suitable for graduates, students and school pupils of 16 years of age or over. Please note

THE MINI PUPILLAGE DIARY FOR 2012 IS FULL
