    Wednesday 21 May 2008
    Focuses on some recent decisions and considers the particular problems faced in representing and assisting people who are suffering from these particular types of disability. Speakers are Leonie Hirst and Catherine Rayner.
  • EHRC legal priorities and issues for the future

  • DNA: Defence Needs Assistance
    Tuesday 10 June 2008
    Presented by Professor Allan Jamieson, Director The Forensic Institute, this seminar focuses on the problems of DNA evidence, and LCN in particular, in trial preparation, and the presentation of complex evidence. Introduced by Peter Wilcock.
  • The Serious Crime Act 2007 Parts 1 and 2
    Wednesday 25 June 2008
    Looks at the provisions for Serious Crime Prevention Orders in Part 1 of the Serious Crime Act together with the new inchoate offences of Encouraging and Assisting an offence in Part 2. Analyses the extent of these offences and the implications for the future development of criminal law. Clare Wade is the speaker.
  • Education Law: Admissions and Exclusions

    The law and the latest developments in relation to Admissions & Exclusions is an often difficult and controversial area of education law and is the topic of this seminar presented by Sarah Bourke and Jane Russell.
